Development of a college level research-study pathway
Pilot project in Laboratory Technology - Biotechnology atthe Cégep de Sherbrooke
Partners
Cégep de Sherbrooke, Bishop's University, Université de Sherbrooke
Description
This pilot project aims to develop and test a research-study pathway at the college level, in the Laboratory Technology: Biotechnology program at the Cégep de Sherbrooke. It will allow students to participate in university laboratory research projects under the mentorship of student researchers in various research laboratories at Sherbrooke and Bishop's universities.
The implementation of this new innovative pathway will help develop and stimulate a culture of scientific research among students, starting at the college level. It aims to increase interest and perseverance in studies in fields leading to scientific careers.
Ultimately, this pilot project could pave the way for the implementation of research-study pathways in various technical programs at the Cégep de Sherbrooke.
